Texas A&M University, often called TAMU, is a public institution located in College Station, Texas. The university was founded in 1876 and has 46,000 students currently enrolled. Texas A&M operates out of two campuses: in Galveston, Texas and in the country of Qatar. The academic programs are housed in the colleges/schools of: Agriculture and Life Sciences, Architecture, Government and Public Service, Business School, Education and Human Development, Engineering, Geosciences, Liberal Arts, Science, Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, General Academic Programs and Interdisciplinary Programs.
