Bryn Mawr College, located west of Philadelphia, opened its doors to students in 1885. It offers undergraduate liberal arts curriculum for women and coeducational graduate programs in arts and sciences and social work and social research. The five most popular declared majors are English, Political Science, Biology, Math and Psychology. The College offers more than 36 majors, 38 minors and a range of opportunities for interdisciplinary study and independent research. The college grants masters and doctoral degree programs through the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research.
