Vassar College is a non-profit private liberal arts and science college situated in the town of Poughkeepsie, New York. It was founded in the year 1861 and has an enrollment of approximately 2,450 students. It offers a bachelors degree in various departments of arts and science which include Dance, Drama, English, Chemistry, Earth Science and Geography, Computer Science, Economics, Environmental Studies, Hispanic Studies, German Studies, Philosophy, Music, Physics and Jewish Studies.
